Heavy Duty Slow Spinning Mechanism

This mechanism is designed to spin a fan slowly. You can use this to create a shadow effect in a room (with the use of haze/fog and a bright light shining behind it) or a windmill, or even a hypnotizing wheel! The output shaft that the fan blades connect to is NOT supported by the motor shaft. This mechanism uses two bearings with a chain drive to reduce speed and increase the torque. The weight of the fan blade is supported by the bearings. This mechanism has a welded 3x3 adapter plate on the output shaft with four 3/8" holes in the corners for easy mounting. We designed this to fit a large 42" fan.
